Wooden cabinets are popular today because of their minimalist design and can make the kitchen look of your home charming and elegant.

The advantage of kitchen cabinets is that you can get high quality and durable cabinet.

The wood material itself is indeed undoubtedly durable. Even wood is a material that is not easily damaged and sturdy.

For those of you who choose wood kitchen cabinets, make sure that the wood is of good quality and old so it is not easily weathered or damaged.

The luxury of a cabinet made of real wood is indeed irreplaceable with a colorful cabinet.

There is something interesting from the wooden cabinet that is left just like that without getting a touch of chemicals such as paint.

Besides that, the scent of wood will still be felt throughout the day and still display its uniqueness.

Of course, this is different from the cabinet that has been painted, the wood has changed with the smell of paint overlying it.

For this reason, there are still many who apply real wood cabinets without being painted for the kitchen.

To work around this, just use the veneer.

The beautiful pattern of wood fiber and coated with veneers can appear more natural than other materials.

Interestingly, this veneer can be used on a wide, curved, winding surface or for difficult angles.

Kitchen Designs with Light Wood Cabinets

Wood can be regarded as the best material for kitchen cabinets because it is suitable for any condition and is more durable.

Especially for those of you who want a classic kitchen, wood is a material that has a natural curve so it is a favorite to make classic kitchen cabinets like these antique white wooden kitchen cabinets.

Unfortunately, the price of solid or whole wood is very expensive. Even so, solid wood is a safe choice because of its durability which lasts for a long time.

In addition, wood materials also provide natural elements in the kitchen. Usually, the wood used is oakwood, cherry wood, or teak wood because it has beautiful wood fiber.

In terms of materials for kitchen set devices, you also have to choose quality materials.

Most of the material used for the kitchen cabinet is wood because it is easily available and is quite durable for long usage.

If you really don’t have enough funds to buy a solid wooden cabinet, then you can use a wooden cabinet with cheap materials.

For those of you who have limited funds but want to have a beautiful wooden kitchen cabinet, here are the types of wood that are usually used in making kitchen sets:

1. Plywood

This material is the strongest type of processed wood. The basic material used is layered bark pressed with high pressure.

This type of material has a very thick layer of wood texture, making it more sturdy and has good water resistance. However, this material has a fairly expensive price.

2. Blockboard

This material is not much different from plywood, it’s just that the blockboard layer is made of pieces of wood arranged horizontally.

The advantage of this material is its resistance to water and has a price that is relatively cheaper compared to plywood.
The disadvantage is the level of durability that is still under the plywood.

3. MDF or Medium Density Fiberboard

This material is a type of processed wood made from wood powder pressed with high pressure. MDF material is also widely used as a framework for furniture makers.

The advantage of this material lies in its price which is relatively cheaper than plywood and blockboard, its surface is smoother, a precision thickness is good and more flexible. For its disadvantages, this material lacks resistance to water.

4. HPL or High-Pressure Laminate

This material is a sheet-shaped coating material that is used as a cover for furniture. HPL is made of resin and decorative paper which has a variety of styles and colors.

The advantage, this material is more practical to be applied to make a kitchen set device, has a variety of shades and colors, sheet coating that is easy to clean, safe, and environmentally friendly, and has a competitive price.

Whereas, the shortcomings are more in terms of aesthetics, where the style and color they have are still inferior to other finishing coatings such as Duco paint that appear far more charming and elegant.
